Online Business Step by Step: Need an Idea?

How to develop ideas for info products and services sold online?

In this article I’ll show you it’s not difficult to come up with ideas, whether you already have a business or you only just considering to start one. However, I have to warn you first: before bringing a new information product to the market, you must always determine there’s an actual demand.

When you know there is, there’s no need to wait until you come up with a completely new and unique idea. Pretty much everything has been invented by now, so you just need an angle nobody has thought of before. What you can do is for instance:

3 Reasons You Should Create Your Own Info Products

In one of my previous articles I shared some tips on how to come up with product ideas. What I forgot to mention is this: as a service provider or coach you should seriously consider creating your own products and programs to sell online. Here’s why:

1. Time is limited

Think about this: if your business is all about your expertise and knowledge, you’re only working with clients 1:1, and you’re aiming to sell out all your time, how do you then plan to expand your business? Start working the nightshift, too?

Leveraging is the keyword here my friend. Information products are a great way to leverage your time.

3 Things Your Joint Venture (JV) Partners Are Looking For

Last week I recorded a short Thursday Takeaway video which revealed the fourth reason to create your own info products if you are an author, speaker, blogger, life coach, health coach, professional organizer, virtual assistant, or run any other work from home business and build a presence online.

In other words, use content marketing to get more clients and make money.

That fourth tip was to leverage other people’s connections and reach through running an affiliate program and joint ventures. Those can actually grow your business with a lightning speed if you manage to attract the right partners.

JV is about mutually beneficial relationship: You scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.

5 Steps of Creating The First Info Product

One of my readers, the Blind Blogger Max, asked how to create his first info product and I realized it’s a great question to discuss in my blog. His question was: “You know I’m working at inspiring and motivating others. what kind of product would you suggest.”

First of all, thank you Max for inspiring me! Here’s my advise to you:

It all starts from knowing who you want to help, and then finding out how.

Step #1: “Draw a picture” of one person whose pains and challenges you’re addressing with your products – I’m calling this your *model Also known as your customer avatar and ideal client. The better you know this person, the easier it is to find out the right way to help. Also it gets easy to communicate your message the way they instantly understand that this is the solution they’ve been looking for – right in front of them, and they should grab it. -
